Cool roofs

Material composition: Roof is composed of a high SRI (Solar Reflectance Index) also known as Albedo which helps to control the temperature and solar reflectance of the roof.
Product information: This type of roof instead of absorbing the sun’s heat and transferring it to the building posses a reflective property that emits the solar heat back to the sky. The SRI and thermal emmittance are rated in a scale of 0 to 1 and the higher the value the “cooler” is the material. CRRC (Cool Roof Rating) is a third party association that test the performance of the SRI value and thermal emittance of several roofs and has a specific section of its website where it indicates which roof companies attain their requirements.

Green attributes: Helps to reduce the heat island effect of roofs at the same time that also reduces overall energy consumption due to a decrease on the need of HVAC to cool down the entire building. It also improves occupant comfort. All this characteristics of this product fulfills the standards for several LEED CREDITS.
